Data deletion

• Reply STOP to any Eduhost WhatsApp message. Every Eduhost WhatsApp message to your number stops, from every school. Reply START if you want them back.
• Or switch it off in the Eduhost app — your school's messages then reach you in the app instead.

To have your number removed from Eduhost's WhatsApp records altogether, write to support@eduhost.in from that number's owner, with the number and your school's name.

Your records — admission, attendance, fees, results — belong to your school, which keeps them in Eduhost. To see, correct or delete them, ask your school's office; the school does it in Eduhost. Some records a school must keep by law (for example, its admission register), so it may delete only part of them.

If you cannot reach your school, write to support@eduhost.in with your name, your school and your phone number. We pass the request to the school within 2 working days, help it act, and reply to you within 15 days.

Parent and student logins are given by the school. Ask the school's office to switch yours off — it stops working on every phone at once — or write to us and we will ask the school for you.

When a school closes its Eduhost account:

• 30 days to export. The school can download its data for 30 days after closing.
• Deleted within 60 days. The school's database — all its students, staff, fees and records — is deleted within 60 days of closing.
• Backups gone within 90 days. Copies in our backups are overwritten within 90 days of closing.

To close an account, the school's owner writes to support@eduhost.in from the account's email address.

The details Eduhost keeps about you as the person running a school's account — name, email, phone — are deleted with the school's account, or within 30 days of your asking once you no longer run it. We keep only the subscription invoices tax law requires.
