Terms of Service

Eduhost is a school-management platform operated by GigaX ([registered entity name], “GigaX”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Eduhost — the website, the application, and the services offered through them (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, the institution and the people acting for it agree to these terms.

“You” means the institution (the school, college or coaching centre) that signs up, and its authorised administrators and users. The institution is responsible for its users' activity on the Service.

Eduhost gives an institution its own private database and its own subdomain, and a set of modules — admissions, attendance, exams, timetable, fees, and more — that it can turn on as needed. Which features are available depends on the plan and the modules you enable.

We may add, change or remove features over time. If we make a change that materially reduces the core service on your plan, we'll give reasonable notice.

The Service is for institutions, not for personal use. When you use it, you agree that:

• You are authorised to act for the institution and to bind it to these terms.
• The information you give us to open and run the account is accurate and kept up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping sign-in credentials secure, and for activity under your account.
• You will tell us promptly of any unauthorised use you become aware of.

• Free trial. New schools get a 14-day free trial with the full ERP switched on. No charge is made during the trial.
• Subscriptions. Starter and Growth are self-serve subscriptions billed monthly or yearly through our payment processor. Enterprise is arranged directly with us. Prices are shown on the pricing page and are exclusive of applicable taxes (GST).
• Renewal. Paid plans renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
• Changes in price. We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice before your next renewal. Continuing after that is acceptance of the new price.

This is separate from your subscription to us. When parents pay school fees online, the money settles directly into your school's own bank account through Razorpay Route. Eduhost holds no pool account and takes no cut of a school fee.

Because of that, Eduhost is not a party to the payment between a parent and the school. The school sets its own fee amounts, due dates, fines and refund terms, and is responsible for them and for any refund of a school fee to a parent. Card and bank details are handled by Razorpay under its own terms, not by us.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service unlawfully, or to store or send unlawful, infringing or harmful content.
• Attempt to breach the isolation between schools, access another school's data, or probe, scan or test the security of the Service without our written permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or place an unreasonable load on it.
• Resell or sub-licence the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
• Enter data you have no lawful basis to hold, or use the Service in a way that breaks a law that applies to you.

The records your school enters belong to the school. As between us, your school is the data controller and Eduhost is the processor — we process the data on the school's instruction to run the Service. How we handle data, and who we share it with, is set out in our Privacy & Data Sharing policy, which forms part of these terms.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, for having a lawful basis to hold it (much of it concerns children), and for the choices you make inside the product — including any action you approve when using the AI assistant.

Eduhost, the platform, and everything we provide to run it remain ours (or our licensors'). These terms don't transfer any of that to you beyond the right to use the Service while your subscription is active. Your data remains yours; you grant us only the permissions needed to host and operate the Service for you.

We work to keep the Service available and to support it in good faith, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, updates, or events beyond our reasonable control may cause downtime. Any specific service levels, if offered, are agreed separately for Enterprise plans.

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms (for example, non-payment or misuse), giving notice and a chance to fix it where practical. On termination you can export your data for a defined window, after which we delete it as described in the privacy policy — save for what we must retain by law.

The Service is provided “as is”, to the extent the law allows. We disclaim implied warranties we're permitted to disclaim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Subject to that, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from data you entered, choices you made in the product, or a payment between a parent and a school.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the Service or your breach of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at [city], India have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you are based.

We may update these terms; if a change is material we'll give notice before it takes effect, and the date at the top shows the last revision. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
