Refund & Cancellation
How cancellations and refunds work for your Eduhost subscription — and why school fees paid by parents are handled by the school, not us.
Last updated 15 July 2026
This is a plain-language summary of our practices, not legal advice. Eduhost is operated by GigaX; have your own counsel review these terms before relying on them.
What this policy covers
This policy is about the subscription your school pays to Eduhost to use the platform. It is operated by GigaX.
It does notcover school fees a parent pays to a school. Those payments settle directly into the school's own bank account through Razorpay Route — Eduhost never holds that money — so any refund of a school fee is decided and made by the school, under its own policy. See “School fees are different” below.
The free trial
Every new school gets a 14-day free trial with the full ERP switched on, and no card is charged during the trial. The trial is the intended way to evaluate Eduhost before paying, so please use it to check the platform fits your school. You can walk away at the end of the trial at no cost.
Cancelling a subscription
- Cancel anytime. You can cancel from your billing settings, or by writing to us. There is no cancellation fee.
- Access until the period ends. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for; it simply doesn't renew after that.
- Your data. Before access ends you can export your data. After closure we delete it as described in the Privacy policy, save for what we must keep by law.
Refunds
Because the 14-day free trial lets you evaluate the platform before paying, subscription charges are generally non-refundable once a billing period has begun, and cancelling stops future renewals rather than refunding the current period.
We will, however, consider a refund in fairness where:
- You were charged in error, or charged twice for the same period.
- A genuine, sustained technical fault on our side prevented you from using the Service and we could not resolve it in reasonable time.
- You cancelled an annual plan within 7 days of that annual charge and had made only minimal use of it.
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method through our payment processor, usually within 5–7 business days of approval. Taxes already remitted may be adjusted as the law requires.
How to cancel or ask for a refund
Cancel from your billing settings inside the app, or email gigacode.in@gmail.com from the address on the account, with your school name and, for a refund request, a short note on what went wrong. We aim to respond within [X] business days.
School fees are different
When a parent pays school fees through Eduhost, that payment is between the parent and the school and settles straight to the school's bank account. Eduhost is not a party to it and cannot refund it. If a parent needs a fee refunded — a wrong amount, a cancelled service, a withdrawal — that request goes to the school, which handles it under its own refund rules using its own funds.
